“So sorry to learn your Frances died, Gino. I just had to put Alex in care. Alzheimers.”

“Thanks for your note Amanda,” he replies. “Sorry about Alex. Need help? Let’s get through this together.”

She emails: “Gino, I’m OK, but lonely. Meet for coffee sometime?”

“Sure. This Friday?”

Gino learned to accept missing Frances, as Amanda did Alex, who soon passed. Friends raised eyebrows. How quickly it all came together!

“You say it was the condolences. They just don’t believe it.”

“Too bad. They couldn’t accept that the stars saw us noticing each other years ago, but made us wait.”
